About The Position

KLN Family Brands is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator for the night shift at Kenny's Candy & Confections. The operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining packaging machine and scale equipment, bagging products into required finished products, and assisting in the training of all operators and line staff. The role also involves completing samples, trials, inspections, and cleaning tasks. The position requires a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.

Requirements

• General mathematical and mechanical ability
• Experience or training up to 1 month or more
• Self-motivation
• Good communication skills
• Learning, memorizing and executing a sequence of procedures
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Willing and able to get along with others
• Good judgment and reasoning abilities
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to drive forklift and pass certification exam

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging machine equipment
• Training Operators and Line staff
• Assist in completing samples and trials
• Perform cleaning inspections
• Inspect all equipment used for sanitation and food safety
• Setup equipment for process
• Retrieve needed formers
• Report any problems with materials or equipment to the Production Supervisor
• Enter appropriate information into production data logs
• Perform all required tests
• Perform maintenance and cleaning as needed
• Complete paperwork as required
• Complete orders by following production schedule and direction from production supervisor

Benefits

• Base Pay: $19.90/hr
• Year 1 Bonus: $1.22/hr
• 10% Shift Differential for Night Shift: $1.99/hr
• Profit Sharing Eligibility: Begins after completing 1 year of employment (prior year profit sharing equated to an extra $5.68/hr for employees)
