About The Position

The Machine Operator Lead – Ossid/Reiser VSP/Rollstock Machine Mechanic plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Ossid/Reiser VSP/Rollstock equipment and other production machinery within our poultry processing facility. This position combines hands‑on mechanical expertise with leadership responsibilities, supporting production teams, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematics
• Knowledge working on Ossid/Reiser VSP/Rollstock packaging machines
• Basic mathematical skills required for measurements and adjustments
• Ability to safely follow procedures and complete required paperwork
• Strong commitment to safety and company policies
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed
• Comfortable working in a poultry environment, including cold or wet conditions

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Ossid/Reiser VSP/Rollstock packaging machines and related equipment
• Oversee machine operators and guide them on the floor
• Perform mechanical repairs, adjustments, and calibrations to ensure optimal machine performance
• Identify worn, damaged, or failing parts and coordinate replacement and repair
• Conduct routine and advanced preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
• Respond promptly to production requests when mechanical issues arise
