About The Position

Summary: Responsible for operating fabrication machinery with some assembly and handwork. Responsibilities & Duties: Set up and operate machines including saws, lasers, tube benders, and CNC. Continuous improvements relating to learning more machines. Load and unload parts into machines manually or by means of mechanical lifting devices. Responsible for packing, stacking on skids and counting parts. Tags finished parts as ready to ship. Follow strict process inspection procedures. Process all necessary documentation and paperwork for processes completed. Perform routine maintenance and some troubleshooting when necessary. Follow and comply with all safety regulations, work rules, and maintain clean and orderly work area. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, one to three years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of both preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to critically think and solve problems.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as work orders and blueprints.
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

  • Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally life or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Repetitive fine motor movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists performing tasks.
  • Frequently working on foot, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail bending and stooping.
  • Occasional sedentary work, sitting for extended periods of time.
  • The employee works in a factory environment and is occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. He/she is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
