The Bernard Group is looking for an enthusiastic Laminate Operator to join our team! You will be responsible for running the machine hot or cold as required by the production job. In this role, you will handle the machine to ensure it moves properly in the lamination of materials. You will be running the machines in accordance with the design specifications received as part of the work order. Understanding how to best utilize the laminate machines, with the materials and maintain the machine in good working order, is also part of your responsibility. Shifts available: Sunday through Tuesday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am (Three 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule every 4 months with overtime available).

Nice To Haves

  • previous work experience in lamination, printing, print operations, and cutting is a plus
  • worked in a manufacturing environment for 1-3 years, preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • review the design specifications and set-up the machine to follow the design within the parameters required by the job and material (such as running the machine hot or cold and switching the necessary materials as needed)
  • complete the work within the estimated time frames ensuring the work meets quality standards
  • follow safety standards and maintain a safe working environment
  • check inventory levels of materials needed, lam rolls, adhesive rolls, and cling rolls., and other materials for the machine and assigned jobs
  • maintain equipment by proper greasing and changing filters as needed
  • communicate effectively with production leads for counsel or advice on completing jobs to ensure jobs are on schedule and have been received appropriately
  • create efficiencies by ensuring lam methods are aligned
  • apply time management and self-management skills to plan, coordinate, and manage work
  • perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management
  • complete machine and hand application tasks, such as applying adhesives, with opportunities for cross-training in other fixture assembly areas
