About The Position
Columbus Brick, a division of General Shale Brick, is seeking a Machine Operator (Kiln Operator) - Night Shift 7P-7A for our manufacturing facility in Columbus, MS. This position is hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Schedule includes three (3) 12 hour shifts and one (1) 6 hour shift
- Great attendance
- Good communication skills
- Mechanical ability
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Good health with no work restrictions (extreme hot/cold environments)
- Basic math skills (ability to read a tape measure)
- Reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Operation of both tunnel kilns and all dryers
- Monitor semi-automatic equipment
- Record information
- Respond to equipment alarms
- Shovel gravel
- Housekeeping
