About The Position

The Mill Machine Operator III position is responsible for operating, setting up and maintaining daily operational conditions of at least 1 line of equipment (up to 3 machines). Responsible for completing production and quality paperwork. This position will report directly to the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 – 3 years of experience as Machine Operator or external experience as Machine Operator
  • Must have previous experience in hand tools usage.
  • Must have basic reading/writing skills.
  • Must be able to perform metric measurements with tape and measure with calipers.
  • Must have the ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to assess and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Forklift preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting up equipment and operating at minimum of production comprising of multiple pieces of equipment.
  • Identify machine capability based on production drawings and be able to optimize machinery to meet scheduling.
  • Responsible for training new operators on non-machine start-up/stop with production documentation.
  • Work with maintenance on equipment improvements
  • Troubleshoot machine issues & accurately report machine issues to maintenance and/or other support groups.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and organized production area to execute any improvements.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality and production standards.
  • Remove manufactured product pieces from machines, and check to ensure that they conform to specifications.
  • Responsible for moving pallets of production as well as stacking material from a pallet to a conveyor or table.
  • Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
  • Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify operators of any malfunctions.
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually.
  • Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
  • Help production workers by supplying or holding materials or tools, and cleaning work areas and equipment.
  • Will lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
