Machine Operator III is an advanced-level operator responsible for operating, setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing both automated and non-automated production lines, including Multivac and automation systems. This role serves as a technical lead and subject matter expert (SME) for assigned equipment and processes. In addition to machine operation responsibilities, Machine Operator III is responsible for training employees, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and providing advanced troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency. Essential Job Functions Advanced Machine Operation Operate and oversee automated and non-automated production lines. Independently run automation systems and perform advanced adjustments to maintain optimal performance. Monitor sealing, coding, labeling, weight compliance, Quality and packaging integrity. Proactively identify performance issues and implement corrective actions. Coordinate with maintenance for mechanical issues beyond operator-level repair. Setup & Changeover & Line Breakdown Lead assembly and disassembly of automated and non-automated lines. Oversee product changeovers to ensure accuracy and minimal downtime. Verify proper configuration and startup readiness. Ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety requirements during reassembly. Perform elevated troubleshooting of mechanical and automation systems. Diagnose recurring production issues and recommend process improvements. Support root cause analysis efforts for downtime or quality deviations. Training & Subject Matter Expertise Train Machine Operator I, Machine Operator II, and General Labor employees on equipment operation and line procedures. Serve as the designated Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned equipment or automation systems. Assist in developing training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Validate employee competency and provide performance feedback to supervision. Ensure certification of all Machine Operators. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift (with scheduled breaks). Continuous repetitive hand and arm movements. Ability to lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 20 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting. Ability to work in a cold or refrigerated food production environmentEnsure team compliance with PPE and operational standards. Promote a culture of safety and accountability on the production floor. Work Environment Fast-paced food manufacturing facility. Production line environment with rotating positions. All positions require standing, no seated duties Starting Pay: $25.20/hr., a shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities.
