Basic Function A senior operator that can process screen products to meet the requirements of the customer. Operators at this level are proficient and are often considered for lead roles for their department. Must pass all basic skill requirements as a Machine Operator II.

Requirements

  • High School Education or equivalent, two year degree preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with metal working, especially mild and stainless steel
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to read micrometers and calipers
  • Ability to interpret routers and bills of materials
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Ability to work closely with fellow employees in a positive manner
  • Possess mechanical aptitude
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as required

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to set up and run all CNC machines with minimal to no assistance or instruction.
  • Must be able to set up and run all Screen Machines with minimal to no assistance.
  • Must be able to set up and operate other production equipment such as press molder, mixer station, and pressure testing equipment.
  • Must take an active role in training lower tier operators, providing guidance in all areas to include processes, procedures and safety.
  • Must display leadership abilities, directing operators in daily tasks.
  • Must be able to assist in maintaining material inventory via cycle counts and material usage.
  • Must be able to assist in adjustments and repairs of production equipment.
  • Must take part in continuous improvement.
  • Must be proficient in reading and editing CNC programs.
  • Must be able to read technical drawings.
  • Must be well organized, have good math skills, and computer skills.
  • Must have a superior regard for product quality, flow of material through its processes, and display proficiency in keeping to the production schedule.
