About The Position

Under supervision, operate production equipment according to instructions to ensure proper operations, safety, and product output. This key role coordinates team activities to ensure that production machines operate safely, properly, and efficiently, meeting quality standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or at least 2 years of work experience within a high volume manufacturing environment in lieu
  • 6 Months of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods, including an entire shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, squat, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance, with the capability to move products, supplies, and boxes weighing 5 to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity (near and far), depth perception, field of vision, and color vision are required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language, including charts, indicators, instructions on controls, and operator checklists.
  • Basic math skills, including fractional and decimal equations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve team objectives.
  • Willingness to work in varying temperature environments (warm and cold).
  • Must be able to operate a pallet jack.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor machines, addressing stoppages and issues.
  • Set up, start up, shut down, and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Perform routine clean-up and minor maintenance.
  • Regularly clean equipment and production areas.
  • Pack finished goods and handle materials.
  • Operate boxing lines and manage pallets.
  • Prepare product for transfer and/or final processing.
  • Complete paperwork and reports accurately and on time.
  • Inspect products for quality and accuracy.
  • Adjust processes to maintain quality standards.
  • Assist with other tasks and projects as needed.
  • Ensure material availability and support team needs.
  • Meet company standards for accuracy, performance, and attendance.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
