Troubleshoot problems to maintain operational efficiency and quality. Retrieve and record related production data and communicate effectively with coworkers to maintain production flow and respond to changes in production schedule. Essential Function and Responsibilities: Responsible for achieving assigned goals in the areas of safety, quality, production, performance, and cost. Follow all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook, and as stated in the various safety-related training programs. Understand and communicate all hazards and safety issues to the appropriate personnel. Properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain a safe and clean work area in accordance with Company standards. Complete regarding computer-based training (CBTs) and behavioral safety observations (BSOs) before or by the deadline. Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) as documented in the policy. Set up and operate all equipment following the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the Two-Step Department including, but not limited to: Sidels, date coder, leak detector, Alpine bottle lift, preform dumper, lane diverter, and antistat booth. Assist appropriate personnel on mold changes, line clears, and PM’s based on schedule. Perform required Operator Preventative Maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment. Perform daily operator checks and hourly visual checks on product. Accurately identify quality issues and communicate quality problems/concerns to supervisor and/or appropriate quality personnel. Assist with quality containment for escapes - Add Complete required data collection including but not limited to: process sheets, process deviation logs in FMS, daily operator checks, housekeeping sheets, partial Gaylord tickets, and downtime reports. Follow and escalate appropriate downtime events to Frontline Leadership. Add Verify accurate downtime vs production through face to face discussions with team members in Downstream and other areas. Add Add - Accurately account for preform usage or consumption. Verify all tickets are entered in preform use log in the correct order using first in first out (FIFO) methodology. Enter Master Process parameters, set cams and adjust air pressures when setting up for a new container after a tooling changeover. Leverage available tools, including Master Process tools, standard processing for relevant defects – Add Troubleshoot problems as they arise. Communicate machinery and equipment problems to supervisor and/or maintenance personnel accurately and in a timely manner. Use appropriate computer systems to view production schedule in order to understand what product is running as well as any upcoming tooling changes. Retrieve and utilize container information using Customer Profiles and Quality Data. Communicate at work station with both off-going and oncoming shifts regarding issues relevant to performance. Utilize the Levels Program training to increase technical and leadership skills, as well as cross training to all Sidel Machines in order to advance within the Operator II - Sidel Function. Review standard work, hour by hour boards, fast action safety boards - Add Cover breaks, lunches, and other staffing needs - Add May perform other assignments at the direction of frontline leaders.
