About The Position

The Machine Operator position involves working rotating 12-hour shifts (2/2/3 schedule) in Kernersville, NC. Responsibilities

• Operate Slitter to production, waste, and quality standards
• Keep updated and thorough production reports
• Maintain the process and take note of malfunctions in the equipment and product, correcting them as needed
• Ensure safety
• Properly document, set up and handle the raw materials in preparation for the process
• Document, separate, label and handle any process waste, recyclables, and product after the process
• Prepare, place and remove paper rolls as necessary for the process
• Verify that production quantity meets customer needs
• Operate/Monitor Overwrap equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
• Adjust machines as needed for changeovers, different functions or other varying needs of production
• Conduct quality checks periodically
• Read the job jacket to ensure correct product is used
• Observe and monitor input/output, accuracy, and efficiency of machine
• Check the expansion symbol to ensure the form is for the correct project
• Ensure the counts are accurate
• Keep a daily activity log of production notes
• Ensure a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Other duties may be assigned by supervisor
