About The Position

As a Machine Operator I at Sonoco, you will be responsible for collaborating and contributing to the production environment within our manufacturing operations. This position requires standing for long periods and conducting repetitive motions, including standing, walking, twisting/swiveling at the waist and wrist, and bending at the waist and knee. You must be able to tolerate flashing lights and/or strobes located throughout the labeling and printing equipment, stretch arms out to shoulder height and occasionally overhead, and lift at least 50 lbs. to waist level. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area is also essential.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend standard work instructions, math, and measuring.
• Strong attendance record and punctuality.
• High school diploma or GED.
