This role is based at our headquarters in Saint Paul, MN. Primary Objective of Position To convert various types of products in a high quality and timely manner while working in compliance to the work instructions, CAD drawings, and product specifications while minimizing wasted materials and/or time. Complies with the quality systems, Lean Manufacturing, CQET, and quality at the source.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of one year machine operation, preferably in a printing or manufacturing business
Ability to apply good computer and good math skills to job.
Ability to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions; ability to read and understand CAD drawings (if applicable); have legible penmanship, good communication skills (verbal and written) and be detail oriented.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Flexible in working overtime when necessary.
Self-motivated, self-directed team player and team builder
Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written word.

Responsibilities

Effectively and efficiently set up and operate machines
Collect and document all necessary data, i.e., material lot tracking, production checklists, and other required or communicated production information.
Perform and document daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance.
Analyze issues to proactively keep production throughput high.
Remain current on all policies and procedures relating to specific products, equipment, and safety procedures.
Practice and train the concepts of Lean Manufacturing and quality at the source on the production floor.
May be involved in time and efficiency studies related to specific jobs, product, or equipment.
Perform other tasks/duties as apparent or assigned, self-motivated and self-directed.
Flexible in working overtime when necessary and changing shift hours as needed to meet production schedules.
