About The Position

The Machine Operator Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.

Requirements

Computer skills (MS Office) and experience in ERP systems preferred.
Working knowledge of manufacturing principals and basic shop math.
Knowledge of hand tools and general inspection tools.
Ability to read and follow work order, set up, tool, and measurement instructions.
Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.

Nice To Haves

Experience in production and quality control methods (ISO9001, AS9100 etc.) preferred.
Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and production systems helpful.

Responsibilities

Operate various types of machines to produce parts conforming to print requirements, may include basic program adjustments to meet quality and schedule requirements
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
Can simultaneously operate two or more machines when practical and necessary.
Performs basic daily maintenance or checks for machines.
