About The Position

Ensure the safety and quality of products manufactured at our Conroe, TX facility, according to customer product specifications, and mandatory and voluntary codes/standards. Maintain efficiencies, SOPs, and utmost standards set forth by customer specifications.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience.
  • Understands production procedures.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
  • Must be able to visually inspect machines.
  • Must be able to climb various platforms of two or three levels without difficulty.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Set up machinery and ensure that all materials needed are readily available to start the production cycle.
  • Carry out inspection, production, packaging, and machine operation duties.
  • Identify opportunities around the food safety and quality systems in place, or around any materials and products used at the facility. Must strive for continuous improvement.
  • Control and adjust machine settings and effectively monitor and maintain activity logs needed for process control.
  • Assist quality technician(s) in obtaining samples.
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure that equipment is running efficiently and quality products are being produced.
  • Clean equipment as needed.
  • Operate the PLC automation process and communicate troubleshooting issues with the Production Lead and Maintenance Technician.
  • Properly place "Super Sacks" on the hoist on the raw side and/or on pallets to fill with the finished product according to customers' specs.
  • Reports issues regarding the Food Safety Management System to the Technical Manager and/or Plant Manager.
  • Obtain forklift certifications to cover leads when out.
  • Verify consumable usage throughout the shift.
  • Cover startup and shutdown of the plant when leads are out.
  • Execute consumption of material.
  • Documents consumption of raw materials, work-in-process, parts materials, and finished goods for traceability.
  • Required to work assigned schedule. Working hours may vary as specified by management. Must be able to work overtime regularly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
