Machine Operators play a crucial role in manufacturing and production processes by operating and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment. HOURS: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am | Rotating nights schedule ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function. As a Machine Operator I, your primary responsibility will be to operate various machines in development to become a Machine Operator II. Operate assigned machinery under direct supervision. Load raw materials into machines and monitor the production process. Perform basic machine setups and adjustments as instructed. Conduct routine inspections to ensure machinery is functioning properly. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or notify supervisors. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area. Record production data and maintain accurate logs. Complete assigned tasks within given timeframes. Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area, machines, and equipment. Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness. Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance. Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards. Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS The individual may be asked to perform other duties as requested. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES An individual qualified for this job must be able to: Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with hand and power tools. Operate a computerPC proficiency; use spreadsheets and reporting software effectively. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Look for opportunities to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
