As a Machine Operator I, you will manufacture quartz components utilizing machine tools, hand tools and other equipment. You will produce and inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Able to accurately follow work instructions.
  • Able to identify task requirements, monitor progress and meet project completion deadlines.
  • Excellent visual acuity; able to see small details and finish variations and defects.
  • Ability to learn and retain new skills: Product handling, cleaning, inspection, and packaging. Wax, dewax, and product staging procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the set-up of manufacturing equipment.
  • Set up and operate manufacturing equipment including saws, core drills, lapping and polishing machines, and grinders.
  • Read blueprints and production travelers.
  • Identify technical problems and work with senior level operator or supervisor to identify a solution.
  • Assist with minor adjustments to manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain equipment through daily/weekly maintenance.
  • Prepare product for manufacturing process: Visual inspection of product. Ensure proper fixturing of material to fixtures Clean products Complete work traveler transactions Product movement and handling Daily housekeeping, organizing, cleaning, etc.
