About The Position

Cold Spring Brewing, with roots dating back to 1874, is a leader in contract beverage production, serving customers nationwide from state-of-the-art facilities across the Southeast, Southwest, and Midwest. As one of the most diverse and flexible beverage manufacturers in the country, they produce a wide range of products from teas and energy drinks to malt-based beverages. This Machine Operator I position is responsible for assembling kits for the production plant, pre-weighing ingredients, tracking inventory, and following detailed instructions. The role involves ensuring new production line initiatives meet organizational objectives, striving for quick adoption of change, and ensuring efficient understanding and training. Key duties include performing label inspection to ensure quality, verifying codes and product meet company/customer standards, operating production equipment safely, attending training, supplying packaging materials, performing hand stacking and repacking, assisting in housekeeping, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, quality production, and Food Safety standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret in English.
  • Have a strong mechanical background and ability to troubleshoot
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems
  • Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a high-speed Production environment

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the new production line initiatives meet organizational objectives, this will include changes to technology and systems, changes to business processes and changes in organizational structure and job roles.
  • Strive to achieve quick adoption of change and ensure efficient understanding and training in order to achieve organizational proficiency to handle new initiatives and projects.
  • Performs label inspection, to ensure the quality of labels.
  • Ensures that the label is correct and straight on each bottle.
  • Inspect for missing labels and caps, short fills, upside down labels, etc.
  • Ensures codes and product are meeting quality standards per company/customer.
  • Performs any cutting and supply of cans via machine infeed.
  • Operates Production equipment safely.
  • Attends training on new processes and equipment.
  • Ensures codes and product are meeting quality standards per company/customer.
  • Supplies boxes or trays to equipment and verifies that the correct packaging is being used.
  • Performs hand stacking and repacking of product as needed.
  • Assists in housekeeping and running compactor for crushing boxes as required.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor/customer.
  • Adhere to and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices as outlined in Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to and comply with quality production and Food Safety.
