About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and conducting basic preventative maintenance on production equipment in an electronics assembly environment. The Machine Operator may also assist with assembly processes as needed. In this function you will: Operates PCB specialty machines as well as understand the basic preventative maintenance for those machines and ability to train. Work to standard operating procedures / work instructions, bill of materials, product specific information, to complete assembly or sub-assemblies. Escalate any issues in quality or machine maintenance upon discovery. Able to work independently to standard operating procedures / work instructions, bill of materials, product specific information, and instruction from Management or Engineering to established procedures. Work closely with Engineering to assist with engineering change modification implementation. Incorporates Engineering change notices into assembly as instructed. Responsible for maintaining well organized materials storage for components, supplies and WIP assemblies Responsible for inspections of material before and after assembly using various fixtures gauges or tools. Responsible for contributing to the implementation and ongoing use of continuous improvement standards/events and 5S. Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions. Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
  • Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Tualatin, OR will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of Machine Operator experience
  • Ability to setup machinery
  • Ability to read process sheets
  • Visual inspection of cold and hot parts
  • Entering data into computer
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs with reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (6-8 hours a day).
  • Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position

Nice To Haves

  • IPC Certified or the ability to acquire IPC certification (preferred)
