About The Position

The Production Operation at Cardinal Health is responsible for various manufacturing tasks including cost of production, maintenance activities, process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. The role involves operating light-duty bench- or floor-type machine tools and automation equipment, setting up machining machines, making adjustments, and performing maintenance on machines. Employees will check work using prescribed gauges, jigs, and fixtures to measure close tolerances, and may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1-3 years related work experience and/or training preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks ranging from operating machine tools and automation equipment.
• Loading machines (Boxes, pampers, wipes into the machine) and packaging product.
• Setting up machines, adjustments, and minor maintenance on machines.
• Conduct quality inspections, as well as quality and processing audits.
• Perform repackage/rework when necessary.
• Retrieve finished product from the machine and pack it into pre-formed cases.
• Receive filled unsealed cases of product from the pack off, seal and stack the cases and send them to the warehouse.
• Complete necessary production and quality paperwork as required.
• Perform pre-operational check of automatic case sealing machine and bagger.
• Prepare for next shift by ensuring sufficient supplies are present, area and trash containers are clean, Marsh printer is reset, and rework is complete.
