JW Hicks is a growing Northern Indiana based manufacturing company looking to add a skilled press machine operator to our team in Knox, IN. The role involves operating various machinery and equipment, ensuring that all processes are carried out efficiently and effectively. As a Senior Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating mixers and adding minor ingredients to batched raw materials to prepare mixes for pressing. You will also operate presses to form mixed materials into refractory shapes, making adjustments to achieve proper shape, dimensions, and density. Additionally, you will perform press die changes and load press programs, operate rotary surface grinders, boring machines, and water treatment equipment to achieve refractory shape tolerances. Maintaining raw material and product identification to ensure traceability is crucial, as is documenting production through manual documents and computer data entry. You will be expected to maintain your work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition and perform other duties as requested by your supervisor.
