Job Summary
This position involves the operation of a vertical grinder to grind or polish glass edges. Operator tracks, locates, and records edger production on schedules provided by Lead person. Communicate production demands with operators on each shift.
This is a 2nd shift position which is currently scheduled Sunday-Wednesday, 4pm-2:30am. Thursday 4pm-12:30am

Requirements

• Basic computer familiarity
• Read and use a tape measure
• Read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency

Responsibilities

• Must be able to read and understand sketches and interpret their meaning onto glass edges.
• Must be able to read schedules and understand edger’s production demands based on information schedules.
• Operate a grinder to fabricate a quality ground or polished edge.
• Operate overhead crane and vacuum lift.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines.
• Complete daily work sheets and forms.
• Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.
