About The Position

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator - C. The hours for this role are 6am-3:30pm The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you'll do: PRIMARY FUNCTION Support manufacturing and engineering departments by manufacturing various production and prototype components. Assist shop management in training shop personnel in common machine shop practices and company specific processes and procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Set-up and operate simple machine tools such as drill presses, manual presses, saws, shears, etc. Read basic blueprints, inspect parts using precision measuring tools equipped with vernier and DRO scales. Such tools include optical comparators, micrometers, indicators, etc. Perform hand operations such as de-burring, filing, grinding, sanding etc. Operate polisher, grinder, or deburring tools and remove metal and surface defects or contour edges of components based on specifications of blueprints or work instructions. Ability to inspect work for acceptablility of finish. Excellent attention to detail Ability to assemble parts per Manufacturing Instructions Other duties as specified by management

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Must live within 50-mile radius of plant (no relocation benefit)
  • Must be prequalified to work on defense projects per the state department ITAR regulations. State department regulations are defined as: US Citizen, Green card holder or Political Asylum
  • 2+ years' experience in operating simple machine tools i.e. debur, grinder, buffer
