About The Position

The Machine Operator C is responsible for operating assigned production machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing output. This role performs continuous inspection of machined parts and components using precision measuring instruments and visual inspection techniques to maintain dimensional and visual product quality. The Machine Operator C communicates regularly with the Shift Quality Technician(s), Shift Supervisor, and team members regarding machine operation, production flow, and product non-conformities. The role supports process optimization efforts and contributes to department productivity, safety, and housekeeping standards. All work is to be completed in a professional manner consistent with the Mission & Vision Statement/Core Values and company policies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED Experience accepted in lieu of education.
  • Successful employment in positions requiring strong visual attention to detail during repetitive physical activity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of diverse machinery and precision measurement tools.
  • Understanding of production processes and manufacturing workflows.
  • Must be able to read/write/communicate in English.
  • Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong visual ability to perform detailed machine and product inspections.
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced, repetitive work environment.
  • Ability to interpret product specifications and technical instructions.
  • Ability to use measuring instruments and mechanical tools accurately.
  • Mechanical skills including use of power hand tools, basic assembly, troubleshooting, maintenance, and minor repair.
  • Effective verbal communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect machined parts and components using precision measuring tools and visual inspection techniques.
  • Maintain optimum visual and dimensional product quality on assigned machines through continuous measurement and inspection of ware.
  • Perform in-process inspections to identify machine-related problems, defects, or product flaws.
  • Communicate machine performance issues and product non-conformities to Shift Quality Technician(s) and Shift Supervisor.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data collection, documentation, and appropriate machine adjustments.
  • Ensure machines are loaded and operating as required to meet production demands.
  • Maintain activity logs and accurate records of approved and defective units or final products.
  • Assist in optimizing production processes to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Support other machine operators and departments as required or requested.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
