Lakeside is currently seeking a skilled 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our dedicated team. This is a key role responsible for precision welding and assembly of stainless steel products that meet our high-quality standards and customer specifications. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: Schedule: 4-day workweek - Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts Shift: 1st Shift 5:00 am - 3:30 pm Overtime: As needed, additional hours are available on Fridays Work Environment: Culture forward, team-oriented, safety-first, free coffee, nice lunchroom

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma/GED equivalent, plus 1-3 years related experience
  • Ability to read blueprints, tape measure, micrometer, square, and protractor.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to successfully pass forklift certification.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate all of the following machinery: Small mechanical press breaks and small mechanical punch presses Deburring machines Straightener Large shear Cold saw Drill table Hand bender Spotfacer
  • Perform first piece inspection to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Read parts lists, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to Company procedures.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
