We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Bindery Operator for one or more of the following machines: Perfect Binder, Stitcher, Folder, Cutter. You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This role will handle small format products that require bindery work before they are packed and shipped to the client. Shifts available: Monday - Wednesday 6:00 am - 6:00 pm (36-hour work week consisting of three 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that changes every 4 months. Position is overtime eligible.)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two-year Technical or Trade School diploma
  • Three years’ experience as a bindery operator, cutter, folder or booklet maker
  • Worked in a manufacturing environment for 2-5 years
  • Worked in a fast-paced mid-size company
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Possess a thorough and organized approach to work
  • Pay close attention to details on every project
  • Have basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suite
  • Be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
  • Plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage work
  • Complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
  • Apply effective time management and self-management skills
  • Understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information
  • Be flexible to change

Responsibilities

  • Complete the job successfully and provide a quality product the customer will want to order again
  • Run the bindery equipment in a small format capacity
  • Run existing bindery equipment and be open to learning how to run new equipment
  • Troubleshoot production problems to ensure productivity and quality standards are met
  • Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards
  • Perform basic maintenance of the bindery machines
  • Complete miscellaneous projects and various tasks as requested by management
