About The Position

The Machine Operator position at Saputo Cheese USA, LLC involves the safe and efficient operation of production equipment in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in food manufacturing, preferably in dairy food manufacturing.
• Understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, HACCP, etc.).
• Lift truck certification or ability to obtain it.
• Strong math and technical skills to operate equipment controls and touch panels.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Successful completion of drug screen and background check.
• Good attendance record.

• Advanced quality/food safety training and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate production equipment including gable-top carton filling and packaging equipment.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) without deviation.
• Collect routine product samples and perform seal integrity testing for quality assurance.
• Set up and use appropriate gable-top cartons according to the production schedule.
• Set up packaging coders and validate product codes as per specifications.
• Identify and communicate any out-of-specification product conditions.
• Perform routine equipment adjustments and safe operation of a lift truck.
• Complete production records and documents accurately and neatly.
• Perform equipment change-overs, clean-up, and set-up.
• Conduct environmental controls and product reclaim operations as per guidelines.
• Support internal and external audits and follow health and safety procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping within established guidelines.
• Comply with federal, state, and local dairy food regulations.
