The essential functions of the utility modifier position is to work in various capacities to weld, cut, sand, grind, apply wet bondo, remove cured bondo through grinding/sanding, spray paint, repair damaged doors, and modify doors to accept window kits or louvers. Utility modifier must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to read and understand the directions for each production assignment and interpret customer orders, to operate production equipment including seam welder and hand held manual and pneumatic tools, read gauges and a variety of precision measuring devices, including complicated drawings and specifications, and to work within the defined safety parameters. Perform preventive maintenance as required. Maintain clean and organized work area. To perform any and all other duties as directed by the supervisor.
