About The Position

Operates and maintain setups of conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate and assemble metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties. This is a 3rd Shift position; the pay range for this role is $20.34 to $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma/(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a commitment to maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.

• Must be able to operate multiple machines.
• Follows all standard work, control plans, all processes, and quality guidelines.
• Perform all Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities as required.
• Verify that machine is running at proper cycle time.
• Secures holding fixtures, cutting tools and materials on conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines.
• Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications using a variety of gauges making sure parts are within specified tolerances.
• Setting up, operating and dismantling of unit assembly and subassembly work stations.
• Responds with commitment and sensitivity toward satisfying the needs of internal and external customers.
• Promotes quality and continuous improvement philosophy.
• Evaluates situations objectively and demonstrates the ability to make timely decisions that are intended to have a positive effect on work performance.
