About The Position

O'Neal Steel has openings for a Machine Operator (3rd shift) - Burner/Roll Forming at our Mobile, AL facility. The Machine operator sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines. Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a variety of processing equipment including saw, shear, press brake, roller, plasma, laser, etc.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, add and subtract in fractions and decimals.

Nice To Haves

• Overhead Crane certification
• Fork Lift certification
