• Knowledge of basic machining practices and materials is a plus.
• General mechanical knowledge is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a team setting with accuracy and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Set up operation of manual and automated equipment including drills, lathes, grinders, welding machines, and forklifts.
• Work from process sheets, blueprints, or verbal instructions to perform production tasks.
• Maneuver large or heavy parts manually or with a crane.
• Install, align, and lock dies, punches, and other machine fixtures for safe operation.
• Maintain machine and work area in a clean and safe manner.
• Check and inspect operations against predetermined tolerances.
• Wear required PPE for the duration of the shift.
• Work in other areas or departments as assigned.
