About The Position

A Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of machines that are used for the manufacture of finished goods. The machines operate at rates ranging from 100 units per minute to 250+ units per minute. The work environment is very fast paced and requires a high degree of attentiveness and the ability to react quickly to work place variables. In addition to operating machines, operators will have duties and responsibilities as outlined below. Additional Information: 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm $1.00/hr Shift Premium This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, or labelers.
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience monitoring the quality of raw materials and/or finished goods.
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts).

Responsibilities

• Operate machines used for the manufacture of finished goods.
• Monitor the operation of machines to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Perform changeovers as required.
• Maintain and keep current all hourly monitors, SPC, ISO, equipment downtime and all other reports as required.
• Dispose of waste products as defined by company guidelines.
• Contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information.
