About The Position

As a Machine Operator at International Paper, you will be responsible for safely running machines and adhering to all safety rules and practices at all times. Your duties will include counting and stacking finished products, learning customer requirements and specifications by reading factory work orders, print cards, and design specifications. You will utilize basic shop math, accurately read tape measures, gauges, and other test equipment, and coordinate activities with other machine crew members to efficiently set up and run orders. Maintaining quality and production standards as required by the company is essential, as is continually monitoring the quality and quantity of production. You will also maintain housekeeping during your assigned shift, perform quality inspections and tests, record findings, and carry out other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

  • 3-6 months hands-on Industrial Plant manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measurer and ruler
  • Ability to use basic shop math
  • Ability to learn and follow instructions
  • Ability to ask questions and work effectively as a member of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Corrugated industry experience preferred
  • Sit down Forklift/pull pack experience preferred
