About The Position

GA Foods is seeking Machine Operator 2 to work on the Production lines. The individual in this role will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tearing down various production machinery and associated equipment according to daily production schedule. The Machine Operator must adhere to the required sanitation standards and GMPs, and occasionally perform light maintenance duties following safe work practices. First shift from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Great and comfortable workplace with clean areas, break rooms, free meals, and more.

Requirements

• Meet the schedule requirements.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work well with others in a team atmosphere.
• Must be willing to participate in all tasks needed to get the job done - including end-of-shift clean-up/sanitation.
• Ability to run Automated Production Equipment.
• Prior Assembly Experience.
• Pallet Jack operation.
• Some Mechanical Ability Required.
• Ability to complete production and other required reports.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates automation equipment including: Hoppers, Vegetable dispenser, Fruit dispenser, Label dispenser and Conveyor line.
• Conduct initial checks on the liquid filler.
• Stock materials: Keep the machines supplied with necessary materials.
• Troubleshoot problems: Identify and resolve operating errors, reporting malfunctions to a supervisor.
• Assemble, operate and disassemble machinery.
• Ensure sanitation standards and GMPs are followed.
• Responsible for the proper housekeeping and sanitation of the line.
• Ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Communicate with GA team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
• Other duties assigned by management.
