Husco is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift, which operates on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule from 4:30 PM to 3:30 AM. This position involves loading, inspecting, and processing parts using hands-on work instructions, visual aids, and quality alerts on our modern fleet of machining centers. The operator will ensure that design features and tolerances conform to manufacturing requirements through frequent inspections and will utilize various inspection techniques including CMM, air probes, and electronic and hand gaging equipment. Additionally, the role may require making small offsets and tool changes to maintain process stability and performing basic material preparation and handling, including forklift use.

  • Load, inspect, and process parts with hands-on work instruction, visual aids, and quality alerts.
  • Ensure design features and tolerances conform to manufacturing requirements using frequency inspection.
  • Use a variety of inspection techniques such as CMM, air probes, and electronic and hand gaging equipment.
  • Make small offsets and tool changes to maintain process stability.
  • Perform basic material preparation and handling including forklift use.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to succeed.
  • Problem solving and basic decision making to uphold quality standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to add and subtract with decimals.
  • Ability to record data in computers.
  • Work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Makino and Okuma controls.
