  • Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company's product.
  • Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks.
  • Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances.
  • Uses documented work instructions with schematics and manufacturing execution systems on semi-routine assignments at a variety of workstations.
  • Works with little direction and uses judgment to recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
  • Interacts with machines, selects solder, wave solders, and conforms coats.
  • Sets up and operates multiple machines and workstations at once.
  • Acts as an SMT Operator, picks parts, sets up jobs per pic list, and runs the lines which requires 5 pieces of equipment at once.
  • Performs first line of inspection for all boards to ensure they are being built properly.
  • Works with techs and team leads to troubleshoot equipment failures and link information to jobs.
  • Prepares reels and feeders for use on surface mount technology (SMT) machines.
  • Counts materials and moves to production line.
  • Burns firmware programs into electronic components using programming machines.
  • Creates and applies labels onto PCBs (manually and/or automated).
  • Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to print specifications.
  • Operates optical inspection machine and performs visual classification and repair of rejected boards.
  • Overtime is an essential function of this position which typically requires 8-10 hours of overtime/week.
  • A minimum of High School Diploma/GED OR 1 year of verified related experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Typically requires 1 year of previously related experience.
