Machine Operator, 1st Shift

About the position

We are looking for a Machine Operator (internally called Tire Technician) to join our Newville, PA team! Join us in our mission to rid the world of rubber waste! As a Tire Technician, you will be an in-house tire expert, learning how to identify tires that can be refurbished and those that can be upcycled. You will operate machinery to repair tires and ensure high quality tires go out to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize personal safety and the safety of teammates.
• Visually inspect, repair, regroove, pressure test, and paint tires with one last final inspection before going to the customer.
• Operate machinery and perform general preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with maintenance on larger issues.
• Setup, operate, troubleshoot, and adjust machine settings.
• Operate a forklift to move and transport tires.
• Organize work area to maintain a safe, efficient, productive, and clean work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma and/or 4+ years of machine operating or relevant experience.
• 6+ months of forklift experience.
• Experience working with measurements and basic math.

Nice-to-haves

• Front end loader experience preferred.

Benefits

• Starting Rate: $19.50/hr and up, based on experience.
• Hours: Mon-Thu (1st-Shift)
