Now Hiring: 1st Shift Machine Operator Location: South Bend IN Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour Shift: 1st Shift (Full-Time) Join a company that values precision, safety, and your growth. We're looking for a Machine Operator to help us keep production running smoothly.   • Operate material handling equipment such as cranes and forklifts (certification required).
  • Pull, inspect, and verify product before processing.
  • Set up and run machines based on setup notes and work orders.
  • Ensure all processed material meets quality and measurement specifications.
  • Accurately record inspection data and maintain material ID tags.
  • Communicate order changes or clarifications with sales reps.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and general equipment clean-up.
  • Weigh, package, and label materials correctly.
  • Identify, record, and segregate scrap or non-conforming material.
  • Train others when needed and assist with lean/quality initiatives.
  • Follow all safety protocols-this is a hands-on role near heavy machinery.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Basic math skills; ability to read and write clearly
  • Previous warehouse or metals industry experience preferred
  • Certified forklift and crane operation experience
  • Proficiency with handheld measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
