About The Position

Summary/Objective The Machine Operator is responsible for the successful learning, operation, and basic preventative maintenance of assigned production equipment. This role is key to maintaining efficient production processes, ensuring quality output, assisting in the training of new employees, and supporting all other production area needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of food/dietary supplement manufacturing experience.
  • Training in general safety, electrostatic discharge awareness, foreign object damage awareness, and quality system awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the complete lifecycle of assigned production equipment, including start-up, operation, change over, shut down, and routine preventative maintenance as prescribed by P.M. charts.
  • Operate and monitor multiple processes on high-speed automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform essential manual tasks such as loading and supplying production line items, reworking product, and loading conveyors.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition, strictly adhering to prescribed safety regulations.
  • Ensure all required production and maintenance documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Responsible for producing quality finished goods, proactively identifying, and eliminating non-conforming product.
  • Receive and be responsive to frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up and operations.
  • Complete all required tasks related to the effective and efficient operation of the assigned manufacturing area.
  • Strictly adhere to company policies, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
