About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Inspect or operate, machinery or equipment to diagnose basic machine malfunctions. With Supervision: Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, hand tools, or power tools. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative/predictive maintenance actions. Diagnose basic mechanical problems and determine how to correct them. Use basic hand tools and power tools as required. Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery. Positively interact with staff plant-wide and react quick to changing priorities. Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers. Record type maintenance or repair work into the CMMS system. Assist the maintenance team in repair work as required. Use basic measuring devices such as calipers and measuring tapes/rulers. Perform minor carpentry/plumbing/assembly/fabrication for facilities related work, as necessary. Move equipment, furniture, and other items as needed throughout the plant. Assemble and/or fabricate shelving, carts, material stands, or other items utilizing the white pipe system. Adhere to EMS and IATF 16949 Policies and Procedures. Perform all other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical skills and aptitude.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Must have general mechanical and electrical knowledge (preferred).
