About The Position

Bethany Press prints and binds books for publishers and ministries using both traditional offset equipment and new state-of-the-art inkjet equipment. Our owners and core leaders are followers of Jesus Christ who seek to honor Him individually in our personal lives and collectively as an organization. You are hardworking and can troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair overall mechanical issues, especially electrical issues and the electronic aspects of equipment. You are a self-starter who can balance a proactive approach to equipment uptime with the need to respond quickly to equipment outages to minimize or eliminate downtime. Preferably, you will have experience with maintaining commercial printing equipment.

Requirements

Flexibility in work schedule to perform maintenance during off-production hours.
Possess PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
Possess mechanical and troubleshooting skills, especially in electronics and electrical panels.
Ability to lift 100lbs waist high and hold 50lbs overhead for at least 30 seconds.

Responsibilities

Ensure the reliability of centered maintenance and repairs
Proactively work to ensure maximum up time of all equipment, updating and replacing parts as needed.
Demonstrate urgency in troubleshooting and repairing outages to minimize downtime.
Communicate properly with any outside vendors regarding repair needs.
Communicate repairs severity to schedule and manufacturing, conduct repair in a timely manner.
Maintain inventory of spare parts for manufacturing equipment
Other duties as assigned.

Ensure the safe operation of equipment at all times.
Conduct and document routine safety inspections.
Follow and understand OSHA and company safety procedures and practices.
