The position involves repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine the root cause of problems. The role requires disassembling machines and repairing or replacing broken parts, as well as adjusting functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary. Additionally, the technician will clean and lubricate parts, order replacement parts, inspect completed repairs, and return equipment to specifications. The technician will also adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet special needs and serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
