About The Position

THIS IS “HANDS ON” NON-PRODUCTION OPERATION ROLE. Meeting USDA, HACCP, GMFP, and Company standards, and under the supervision of the Maintenance and Refrigeration Manager, the functions of this role are to be responsible for setting example for other technicians through training and coaching. Responsible for performing preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, rebuilds and projects on all plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Journeyman or Accredited Certification in Machine repair or 5 years experience in machine repair.
• Electrical troubleshooting with PLC and VFD experience.
• TIG welding stainless steel to “food grade” standards.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required for job role. Protective Eye Wear Ear Plugs Hard Hat Hair Net Protective Coat (clothing protector) Impervious Boots

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment in a timely, thorough, and efficient manner.
• Respond to line calls in a professional, safe, and timely manner. (Down equipment takes priority over all other responsibilities)
• Track parts usage and order replacement parts as needed within specified budget.
• Manage contracted projects from start to finish.
• Assist Refrigeration Specialists as required.
• Participation in HAZMAT.
