Machine Learning Engineer, Senior The Opportunity: As an experienced engineer, you know that machine learning is critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. As a Machine Learning Engineer on our Enterprise Technology team, you’ll train, test, deploy, and maintain models that learn from data. In this role, you’ll lead the direction of mission-critical solutions by applying best-fit ML algorithms and introducing leading-edge technologies. You’ll share your knowledge with a large community of machine learning engineers across the company and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and AI engineers to deliver world-class solutions to accelerate mission impact in our country’s most vital tasks.   • 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning, including developing and deploying machine learning models
  • Experience working on large-scale data projects and handling big data technologies and platforms such as Hadoop or Spark
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and Java or Scala for data manipulation and model building
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for deploying ML solutions
  • Knowledge of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies such as Kafka
  • Experience with U.S. government and Department of Defense applications of ML
  • Knowledge of agentic AI and advances in AI ethics
  • Ability to mentor and lead junior data scientists and engineers, providing guidance and knowledge transfer
  • Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences, ensuring business alignment
  • TS / SCI clearance
