About The Position

Keysight is looking for a college intern who is passionate about Artificial Intelligence and excited to apply machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems. As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern, you will support our Data & Analytics and AI teams in developing, training, and evaluating ML models that enhance decision-making, automation, and customer experience across the company. This role primarily focuses on learning and contributing to end-to-end ML workflows, including data preparation, feature engineering, model development, and performance evaluation. You will gain hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks and cloud-based AI platforms while working alongside experienced engineers and data scientists.

Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a foundation in mathematics and statistics.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Python and ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning concepts; exposure to NLP or deep learning is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms or MLOps practices is beneficial.
• Team-oriented mindset with curiosity to learn and experiment with new AI techniques.
• Currently enrolled in college with a major in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems, or related field.
• May consider business majors with an Information Systems or Data Analytics concentration.
• Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as of September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, training, and deploying machine learning models for predictive and analytical use cases.
• Support data preparation tasks such as cleaning, feature engineering, and transformation for ML pipelines.
• Conduct model evaluation, testing, and documentation to ensure performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers on integrating ML models into scalable pipelines.
• Explore opportunities to optimize model performance and improve inference efficiency.
• Participate in research on emerging ML techniques, including deep learning and generative AI.
• Additional learning opportunities in cloud ML/AI services as available.

Benefits

• California Pay Range: $29.01-31.24 per hour based on experience, education, and skills.
