Position Purpose: Designs and develops scalable solutions using AI tools and machine-learning models. Performs research and testing to develop machine learning algorithms and predictive models. Utilizes big data computation and storage tools to create prototypes and datasets. Conducts model training and evaluation. Integrates, tests, tunes, and monitors solutions. Designs, develops, and conducts research around Machine Learning (ML) systems, moderately complex models, and schemes to apply to appropriate datasets for data modeling and statistical analysis Identifies differences in data distribution that could affect model performance in real-world situations Analyzes use cases of ML algorithms and apply findings to enable business decisions by deriving insights through data visualization Maintains and support ML/AI software platforms by reviewing and solving moderately complex issues and running moderately complex ML/AI models Understands and communicates business objectives and develops moderately complex models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress Writes software documentation and moderately complex software code to extract data from a variety of databases and data sources Manages available resources such as hardware, data, and personnel so that deadlines are met and deploy predictive models using established software patterns Analyzes the ML algorithms that could be used to solve a given problem and rank them by their success probability Explores and visualizes data to gain an understanding of it and verify data quality, and/or ensure data quality via data cleaning Analyzes errors of the model and design strategies to overcome errors Writes software code to enable and automate machine learning model training and deployment Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 2 – 4 years of related experience.
• Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
• Experience with one or more of the following C# (Programming Language); Database Design; Java (Programming Language); JavaScript (Programming Language); Machine Learning; Machine Learning Algorithms; Python (Programming Language); R (Programming Language); Software Engineering; SQL (Programming Language); Statistics
• Experience with Continuous Integration; Linux; Predictive Modelling
• Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Other: compute clouds, creating database schemas, continuous deployment
• Experience with Other: Building ML/AI models using common methods within R and Python
• Knowledge of Other: Open CV Linux
• Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty

Responsibilities
