About The Position

Kamatics is seeking a Machine Fluid Handler who is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and basic upkeep on both manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes, mills, saws, and grinding equipment. This role ensures machines operate safely and efficiently by monitoring coolant systems, servicing skimmers, handling materials, and supporting production and facility tasks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and willing to learn across multiple areas of the shop floor while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0–1 year of manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift.
  • Occasional sitting as required

Responsibilities

  • Follow work orders to perform preventive maintenance on coolant systems for manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes, mills, saws, grinding, and honing equipment.
  • Monitor coolant levels by topping off daily and checking pH and concentration levels.
  • Maintain and service machine skimmers to ensure proper removal of tramp oil from equipment.
  • Collect chip barrels from machines and transport them to outdoor trailers for recycling pickup.
  • Assist with janitorial and facility support tasks as needed.
  • Perform all responsibilities while meeting productivity and quality expectations and following established work procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report any safety incidents to a supervisor immediately.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support 5S initiatives within the work area.
  • Provide a high level of service to both internal and external customers while contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Participate in cross-training and learning additional positions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and support team objectives as required.
