About The Position

Working under general supervision diagnose and troubleshoot problems with machinery. Inspect, adjust, and repair machinery controls including PLCs, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with all the policies and procedures set forth in the Company Handbook.
  • Ensure operations of electrical systems including PLC’s, drives, controllers, sensors, and other components.
  • Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs to malfunctioning equipment following electrical and safety codes.
  • Program drives, PLC’s and other electrical devices.
  • Maintain equipment calibration and repair history maintenance system.
  • Under direction, program automated machinery, verify operation, and test for malfunctions.
  • Diagnose, calibrate, and repair faulty operation of electrical combustion components, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of furnaces and other machinery.
  • Maintains work area in a safe manner and keeps a clean and orderly work area.
  • Follows safety rules and regulations, participates in safety meetings and suggests ways for continual improvement.
  • Participate in training sessions as required.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned.
