About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Machine Cleaner will keep the machine operators stocked with the production supplies needed to meet daily production goals. This position will clean production equipment during daily Preventative Maintenance and provide assistance to specific maintenance personnel as needed.

Requirements

Ability to communicate with management, colleagues, line staff, and individuals outside the company in order to meet departmental goals.
Strong analytical skills with a methodological approach to problem solving and implementation.
Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to present ideas, and/or facts and recommendations effectively.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret related documents.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WMS and JDE
Ability to manage groups through project implementation.
Excellent follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
Ability to work independently with little direction.
High school diploma or its equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
1-3 years of experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment required.
Prior management experience required
Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Valid State Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

Cleans production equipment during the line PM for the day.
Tracks supply usage at all production lines and replenishes as needed from upstairs storage and racks.
Keeps production floor and printing presses stocked with needed supplies, including tape and banding.
Notifies maintenance department when stock supplies are running low so that a reorder can be placed.
Assists MRO Parts Clerk with receiving orders.
Provides backup for maintenance utility/facilities technician.
Cleans facility floors using floor scrubber Zamboni.
Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
Demonstrates a commitment to companywide quality and safety.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
