About The Position

The Maintenance Technician Associate is responsible for cleaning the chips off a machine and making sure it is ready for the next time the machine is ready to be turned back on to operate. This entry-level role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and assisting with repairs under the supervision of senior technicians. The Maintenance Technician Associate will help ensure that equipment, machinery, and systems run efficiently and safely, supporting the overall functionality of the facility. This position is ideal for individuals eager to learn, develop technical skills, and grow in maintenance. All PPE will be provide for you to do your job safely.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Good physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in facility maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of preventive maintenance processes and equipment life cycle management.
  • Familiarity with basic safety practices and procedures in maintenance or industrial settings.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints, manuals, and maintenance logs.
  • Exposure to maintenance management software or work order systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and equipment.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts as needed.
  • Support senior technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures or malfunctions, learning to apply corrective actions.
  • Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment or machinery.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts used in maintenance activities.
  • Respond to maintenance requests, performing simple repairs or adjustments as needed to ensure the facility’s smooth operation.
  • Maintain and organize tools, parts, and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations during maintenance activities.
  • Follow and execute maintenance schedules, ensuring that all systems are inspected and maintained regularly.
  • Ensure proper use and care of maintenance tools, machinery, and safety equipment.
  • Assist with basic repairs, including replacing worn-out parts, fixing leaks, and repairing electrical circuits.
